Job Description

The Case Manager and Job Coach for Goodwill Southeast Georgia provides a full range of workforce development services designed to help associates achieve both professional and personal goals. This role offers coaching, mentoring, resource navigation, and outreach while serving as an Associate Relations Liaison—connecting associates with internal resources (HR, Department Leadership, Training) as well as external community partners. A key responsibility includes providing case management support for associates in the AbilityOne program, ensuring meaningful training, oversight, and coordination that lead to community-based employment and long-term success. This hybrid role combines the responsibilities of a trainer and case manager, providing on-the-job coaching, barrier removal, and wraparound support services.

Your Typical Day

Training and Coaching

  • Deliver hands-on job coaching and mentoring to AbilityOne team members.
  • Facilitate skill-building activities to promote independence, job retention, and workplace success.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors to identify and resolve performance challenges.
  • Support onboarding and orientation for new hires, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive experience.
  • Conduct monthly safety and OSHA trainings, ensuring compliance with federal and organizational standards.
  • Deliver any additional company-directed trainings, including updates to policies, procedures, and mission-related initiatives.

Case Management

  • Responsible for the development and execution of Individualized Employment Plans (IEPs) for all program participants, in accordance with standards dictated by the AbilityOne program.
  • Assess associates for job readiness, education and training needs, and support needed to obtain community-based employment
  • Provide personalized support services including transportation planning, goal setting, and referrals to community resources.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation in accordance with AbilityOne and CARF standard
  • Maintain documentation in compliance with AbilityOne contracting requirements and HIPAA.
  • Facilitate career exploration and provide resources that lead to successful community-based employment.
  • Partner with program leadership to regularly review progress, challenges, and action steps for growth.
  • Promote safe, supportive environments through accurate reporting of incidents and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

What You’ll Need

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
  • 1–2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities or in vocational support.
  • Strong interpersonal and coaching/training skills with a, person-centered approach.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple contract sites.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel regionally.
  • Must pass background check and meet federal AbilityOne requirements.
  • Must be able to meet all required government security clearances.

Preferred Attributes

  • Knowledge of AbilityOne program goals and guidelines.
  • Experience with supported employment, vocational rehabilitation, or case management.

Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
