Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Delaware, Ohio on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for managing full-cycle bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and providing support for accounting operations. This position offers flexibility with both permanent and part-time hours available, making it ideal for professionals seeking adaptable work arrangements.
Responsibilities:
• Handle all aspects of full-charge bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Manage financial records using QuickBooks (both desktop and online versions) to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
• Utilize Xero software for accounting tasks as needed, with training provided for client-specific requirements.
• Perform quality control reviews on bookkeeping tasks completed by entry level team members to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Prepare and maintain detailed financial reports for management and client use.
• Collaborate with clients and team members to address accounting inquiries or discrepancies.
• Ensure timely reconciliation of bank statements and other financial accounts.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation for audit readiness.
• Support the accounting team with additional tasks as required.• Proven experience as a full-charge bookkeeper or staff accountant.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, including both online and desktop versions, is required.
• Familiarity with Xero accounting software is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and the complete accounting cycle.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform bank reconciliations and manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
