Salary Range: $54,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
- Operate conventional and CNC machining equipment, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine specifications.
- Perform precise measurements and inspections using various metrology instruments.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in tooling, implementing corrective actions.
- Select appropriate materials and heat treatments for tool construction.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize tool design and performance.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proven experience (e.g., 5+ years) as a Tool Maker or in a precision machining role.
- Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machine tools including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDMs.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and GDT.
- Expertise in using a wide range of precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, CMMs).
- Solid understanding of metallurgy, material properties, and heat treatment processes for tooling.
- Successful completion of a formal apprenticeship or a relevant technical degree/certification in machining or tool & die making.
Bonus Qualifications
- Advanced CAD/CAM software proficiency (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam)
- Experience with various welding techniques for tool repair and fabrication
- Knowledge of heat treatment processes and equipment
- Proficiency in operating EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment
