The Front End Coordinator/Referral Specialist plays a key role within the healthcare administration coordination team, managing a moderate volume of approximately 50-150 referrals per week. This position is responsible for facilitating timely and accurate referral coordination, ensuring seamless client scheduling, and maintaining strong communication with both clients and healthcare providers. Utilizing a custom in-house referral management system along with standard office productivity tools, the specialist supports efficient appointment tracking, resource management, and data integrity within the team environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate referrals ensuring accuracy and timely processing
- Schedule client appointments while managing calendar conflicts
- Enter and maintain accurate data records within referral systems
- Manage communication with clients and healthcare providers
- Track appointments and follow up on outstanding referrals
- Verify information to ensure completeness and compliance
- Collaborate with team members to streamline referral workflows
- Maintain organized and updated referral documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in referral coordination
- Associate degree in Healthcare Administration or related field
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Data management and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills for frequent healthcare provider interactions
