Provide specialized nursing care in a dynamic post-surgical stepdown unit, supporting patients transitioning from intensive care to general medical floors. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess post-surgical patients, ensuring timely interventions and recovery support
- Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and patient care plans
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient documentation
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions
Qualifications:
- Active RN license with experience in stepdown or progressive care nursing
- Strong clinical skills in post-surgical patient management
- Ability to handle a patient ratio of 1:4 to 1:5 efficiently and compassionately
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
