&nbsp;CATH LAB NURSE JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Prepare patients:&nbsp;Review patient records, test results, and checklists, and initiate IV lines</li>
<li>Administer medications:&nbsp;Give medications as needed</li>
<li>Monitor patients:&nbsp;Document vital signs and assess the patient's condition</li>
<li>Assist with imaging:&nbsp;Help with procedures that use imaging</li>
<li>Respond to emergencies:&nbsp;Assist physicians during emergencies and adverse reactions</li>
<li>Educate patients:&nbsp;Provide information and support before, during, and after procedures</li>
</ul>
Training and experience
<ul>
<li>Cath lab nursing is an advanced specialty that requires more than basic nursing qualifications&nbsp;</li>
<li>Traditional programs take at least four years of schooling, and you may also need critical care experience&nbsp;</li>
<li>Healthcare facilities often prefer candidates with significant experience&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
