Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Two full-time Special Education Teacher positions are available to provide leave coverage from January through April at an elementary school in Boston, MA. These roles focus on supporting students with moderate to intensive special education needs, ensuring an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs within the moderate and intensive caseload
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state requirements
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student progress and engagement
  • Monitor and document student performance and behavioral progress
  • Maintain a safe and positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning

Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts Moderate or higher Special Education teaching license
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings preferred
  • Strong knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and behavioral intervention techniques
  • Ability to communicate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to fostering student growth and development within an inclusive educational framework

Position Details:

  • School Level: Elementary
  • Schedule: Full-time, 32.5 hours per week
  • Duration: January through April (leave coverage)
