Job Description

This role is for someone who wants to lead and manage the Labor and Delivery (L&D) unit at a large hospital. That’s the department where babies are born and mothers receive care before, during, and after childbirth.


What They're Looking For:

  • A Registered Nurse with at least 3 years of recent L&D experience
  • Someone who has led teams before (as a charge nurse, supervisor, or manager)
  • Ideally, someone with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Passionate about teamwork, inclusion, and continuous improvement


What You’d Do Day-to-Day:

  • Lead a team of nurses and caregivers in the L&D unit
  • Work closely with doctors, midwives, anesthesiologists, and NICU teams
  • Ensure the unit provides safe, high-quality, and respectful care
  • Support and train staff to grow professionally
  • Make sure the unit meets health and safety standards
  • Help with hiring and staff schedules
  • Work on improvements to care quality, especially around diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Participate in projects that improve how care is delivered and measured
