Title: Financial Accounting Associate – Private Investments
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and prepare quarterly financial statements, PCAPs, and fund reporting for multiple private equity vehicles, including growth, venture, early-stage, and co-investment funds.
- Oversee the preparation and review of capital call and distribution notices in coordination with third-party administrators.
- Support subscription line financing processes, including borrowings, repayments, and quarterly covenant compliance.
- Prepare fund rebalancing calculations and monthly expense allocations.
- Assist with regulatory filings such as Form PF and Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) submissions.
- Collaborate on annual audits, investor K-1s, and tax estimates with administrators and external auditors.
- Draft quarterly investor letters, compile performance metrics, and support investor relations with ad hoc inquiries.
- Partner with deal and valuation teams to review fund projections and performance analyses.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects within finance and operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-6+ years of relevant experience in public accounting, fund accounting, fund administration, or related financial services.
- Strong understanding of journal entries, financial statements, and financial reporting processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Investran, Hazeltree, or Sage is a plus.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- CPA preferred but not required.
Compensation:
- Base Salary: $105,000 - $175,000
- Annual Bonus: Up to $30,000
