What You'll Be Doing
- Maintain accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment processing, account reconciliations, and aging reviews.
- Process payroll and ensure accurate accounting of payroll-related transactions.
- Assist with accounts payable when needed.
- Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations to support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Maintain and reconcile bank accounts and other key balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements, operational reports, and ad hoc analysis.
- Monitor accounting processes, investigate discrepancies, and recommend solutions and process improvements.
- Create and maintain accounting procedures and process documentation.
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and business partners.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter with a positive attitude and a collaborative, service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with NetSuite, UKG, or similar accounting and payroll systems.
- Restaurant, retail, hospitality, or multi-unit accounting experience.
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
