Job Summary:
The Senior Internal Operations Manager (SIOM) is an integral part of the Internal Operations team which handles the coordinated back-office duties for all Chrysalis Employment Social Enterprises (ESE’s). The team's duties include, but are not limited to, managing CE’s vehicle fleet, instituting electronic payroll for transitional employees, recruiting client employees into a pool of driver candidates, and the ordering/tracking of all necessary equipment and supplies. In addition, this team is responsible for the initial client employee programmatic experience from the time of referral through onboarding to placement into a respective ESE. The SIOM position oversees their own workload while supervising multiple office staff ensuring that all processes are being completed efficiently for the success of the department’s programmatic and operational initiatives. As a key member of the Internal Operations management team, the SIOM participates in the development and implementation of effective team procedures and must foster strong cross-departmental alliances.
Responsibilities include:
Operations & Programmatic Management
- Represent CE at other department meetings, providing an overview of the client experience within different ESE’s, the department’s internal policies and procedures, and addressing relevant questions/concerns.
- Ensure team’s procedures are effective in supporting ESE objectives and needs.
- Respond in a positive, prompt, and thorough manner to ESE staff inquiries and issues related to Internal Operations.
- Participate in the initiation, planning, design, execution, and monitoring of Internal Operations projects.
- Work with ESE leadership to develop and implement programmatic initiatives to respective workforce(s).
- Play respective role in the referral and onboarding of the entire CE client workforce, the management of the CE vehicle fleet, roll out of electronic timekeeping and other initiatives.
Team Management
- Manage five direct reports by providing continued support and oversight of their respective job duties and guidance on professional development through regular feedback and identification of continued growth opportunities.
- Maintain a culture of engagement, innovation, support, transparency, and accountability amongst staff.
Operations & Programmatic Management
- Ensure team’s procedures are effective in supporting ESE objectives and needs.

Job Skills & Qualifications:
- Interest in, experience working with, and sensitivity toward the Chrysalis client population, including the re-entry community.
- 1+ years of management experience.
- Employment Social Enterprise leadership experience, a plus.
- 2+ years in program delivery and/or customer service experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to coach/mentor staff and clients.
- Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to use tact and diplomacy in all interactions and to appropriately represent Chrysalis to external audiences.
- Advanced written and verbal communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to solve challenging operational problems and make timely decisions, often under pressure with tight and competing deadlines.
- Understanding of and ability to use software applications such as Microsoft Suite and Google Suite. Previous experience with case management software a plus.
- Thrive in high paced, demanding environment.
- Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends.
