We are on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic Internal Medicine Physician to become part of our Hospital Medicine team located in Muskegon, MI. Opportunity Highlights

  • Level 2 trauma center
  • General floor coverage with potential ICU responsibilities, including procedures; open ICU
  • Opportunity to educate Residents, Medical Students, and Fellows
  • Inpatient shift-based role; no on-call duties required
  • Schedule: a blend of day and night shifts with rounding and admitting tasks
    • Occasional schedule coverage for a nearby hospital

Qualifications

  • Experience in Hospitalist Medicine is essential
  • Physicians: Must be board certified in a relevant clinical area or board eligible, with a commitment to achieve board certification within five years of the Start Date (unless earlier required by applicable medical staff bylaws)
  • Active Michigan medical license (or the ability to obtain one)
  • DEA license
  • BLS certification (must be maintained) / ACLS certification (must be maintained)

Responsibilities

A typical day may involve:

  • Delivering direct patient care
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Engaging in teaching and mentorship
  • Documenting patient information in Epic EMR
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives
  • Supporting community health initiatives
