Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and 1+ year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Seeking a skilled Imaging Cath Lab Technician for a contract position in Edwardsville, IL. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced cardiac catheterization lab, providing critical imaging support during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and operate imaging equipment used during cardiac catheterization procedures
- Assist physicians and nursing staff by ensuring high-quality imaging and maintaining sterile technique
- Monitor patient vitals and respond appropriately under the supervision of clinical team
- Maintain equipment functionality and troubleshoot technical issues quickly
- Follow all safety protocols to protect patients and staff from radiation exposure
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Certification as a Cath Lab Technician or Radiologic Technologist with Cath Lab training
- Proficient in operating fluoroscopy and other imaging systems typical to cardiac cath labs
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, procedures, and catheterization techniques
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
