Independent Contractor Dog Trainer – Irvine
Karma Dog Training, founded in 2004, is expanding in the Irvine area and looking for independent contractor dog trainers who want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families and their dogs. Our company is rooted in kindness, patience, clear communication, and positive-reinforcement training. We are looking for people who genuinely enjoy helping both dogs and their owners grow together in a calm and supportive way.
This role offers complete scheduling flexibility. You choose the hours you want to work. We provide a steady flow of clients throughout Irvine and the surrounding communities, including Tustin, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Laguna Hills, and other nearby areas. You do not need to be a certified trainer. What matters most is your temperament, reliability, compassion, and willingness to learn our approach.
As a trainer, you will work with puppies and adult dogs in private in-home sessions. You may help families with early puppy development, basic obedience, polite greeting rituals, recall training, leash manners, and creating calm behavior in real-world environments. Many families in Irvine appreciate thoughtful guidance and a warm teaching style that helps them better understand their dog’s needs.
We are seeking individuals who have experience with dogs in any capacity such as daycare, rescue, walking, fostering, boarding, vet clinics, or prior training. You should feel comfortable working independently, be dependable with scheduling, and communicate clearly with clients. A positive-reinforcement mindset, or a willingness to follow ours, is essential. Reliable transportation is required.
Pay for this role typically ranges from $40 to $75 per hour, depending on experience, skill level, and the type of training program provided. Trainers choose their own schedule, and income varies based on client volume and availability.
