Brandon Woods of New Bedford is seeking Occupational Therapists to join our team and uphold our high standards of resident care. Brandon Woods of New Bedford is a family-owned and operated skilled nursing center that has been serving seniors for 50 years. Our 135-bed facility specializes in Short Term Care, Long Term Care, Rehabilitation, and Sub-acute Care.
Occupational Therapist Job Summary:
Responsible for the evaluation, planning, directing and administering of occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician.
1. Administers treatments and occupational agents as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability.
2. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy and currently licensed in the State of Massachusetts.
Minimum of one-year clinical experience serving the same age/population mix as served by the facility. Demonstrated competency in identified areas of specialization, with knowledge of the application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations. Basic knowledge of physical medicine, physical therapy modalities, anatomy and physiology. Basic knowledge of occupational therapy machine operation.
