Job Description
The Assembly Technician must be able to assemble, disassemble and repair specific product lines. To perform the job properly, the Assembly Technician I must have basic product knowledge, an understanding of production procedures, and ability to use common hand and power tools. The position requires self-direction, focus, and a strong desire to work within a team environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assemble fundamental components in accordance to the work instructions utilizing a combination of hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
- Assemble entry-level products to meet established standards for quality, quantity, efficiency, and customer specifications consistently and correctly.
- Communicate with appropriate parties in relation to expedited orders, component quality issues, inventory records, etc.
- Participate in the implementation of process improvements.
- Participate in maintaining and suggesting safety practices and procedures.
- Maintain an orderly work environment.
- Maintain system accuracy and record transactions in ERP operating system.
- Participate as a team member to achieve goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 year of relevant work experience, preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools.
- Strong sense of urgency and basic ability to prioritize in order to meet the expectations of the customer.
- Detail oriented to provide the highest level of quality.
