Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure project feasibility and profitability. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction estimation, particularly in healthcare projects, and a strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, focusing on healthcare facilities such as hospitals.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to discuss and refine project scope and budget.
- Review and assess bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
- Monitor project budgets and provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding cost performance and potential overruns.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents and proposals for new projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on healthcare or OSHPD/HCAI projects.
- Experience with various delivery models, including preconstruction, design-build, design-assist, GMP, etc.
- Experience estimating TI and large-scale builds from $500K to $25MM+
- Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. BlueBeam, PlanSwift, Excel, BuildingConnected, DESTINI)
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
