Job Details:
\n
• Work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
\n• Must serve as charge nurse - designated charge position with no patient assignment unless necessary
\n• Patient ratios of 1:1-2 dependent on acuity, may flex up to 1:3
\n• 1:1 ratio for high acuity patients requiring CRRT, IABP, Impella, etc.
\n• 6-9 weekend shifts required in a 6-week schedule
\n• Must float within 60-mile radius zone including multiple facilities
\n• May float to any acuity level: ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele units
\n• Schedule made by leadership for 6 weeks at a time with flexibility required
\n• 1-2 days orientation with preceptor
\n• Must have 2+ years of ICU experience and prior charge nurse experience
\n• First-time travelers need 3+ years ICU experience and Epic experience
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC
\n• Must be comfortable titrating critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin
\n• Expected to read and interpret telemetry strips independently
\n• May respond to codes and rapid responses throughout hospital
\n• Must assist with troubleshooting and managing respiratory needs
\n• Rare call/standby requirements for low census
\n• Any color scrubs acceptable
\n• Epic charting system
\n• BSN not required
\n\n
