The Position:
The Financial Advisor is a client-facing role focused on delivering personalized, comprehensive wealth management strategies through a values-based approach. This position involves advising clients on investment strategies, developing detailed financial plans, and presenting recommendations in client meetings. The advisor will analyze portfolios, execute trades, and leverage tools to manage client relationships efficiently. Collaboration with a team of independent, high-performing advisors is key, along with maintaining compliance standards and supporting the firm’s ongoing operational excellence. This role is in the office daily, with limited work from home/telework offered on a case-by-case basis. Client meetings are presently in-person and virtually.
Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on investment strategies and other financial decisions
- Assess clients' assets, liabilities, and overall financial condition
- Develop comprehensive financial plans in eMoney
- Participate and lead client meetings to present financial plans
- Review and communicate portfolio performances to clients
- Network and build relationships with new and existing client base
- Work with independent, highly successful financial advisors as a team
- Execute trades in client accounts (Series 7 license required)
- Utilize Morningstar to assemble portfolios and perform research
- Prepare Excel reports from LPL Financial client management system to analyze data and create efficiencies
- Perform some operational duties for establishing and maintaining accounts
- Initiate electronic forms and/or paperwork for new and existing clients, account transfers, money requests, ACH set up
- Become proficient with LPL Financial account management system
- Utilize Redtail CRM for client management
- Prepare and review reports for client meetings (some virtual meetings)
- Speak with clients and handle requests efficiently
- Participate in compliance duties of the firm
- Other duties to support firm and advisors as needed
Qualifications
- Series 7 license required
- Must hold or be willing to obtain Series 65/Series 63 or Series 66 license(s)
- Industry credentials such as CFP®, CFA, ChFC® required
- Prefer 5 or more years of experience in financial services
- Finance, business, financial planning or other related degrees or concentrations preferred
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Existing client relationships taken into consideration
- Must be a team player for a team practice and willing to share knowledge with others
- Enjoy interacting with people
- Detail-oriented
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, eMoney, Retail CRM, and other industry programs)
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Salary + Benefits:
Salary: $70,000 to $95,000 based on experience.
