A Special Education Coordinator opportunity is available supporting K-12 students in Dover, DE. This contract position runs from ASAP through June 12, 2026, with a 37.5-hour workweek, Monday to Friday. The role centers on managing the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process, scheduling meetings, and collaborating closely with special education staff to ensure compliance and effective support for students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the IEP process from development through implementation
- Schedule and facilitate meetings with parents, teachers, and related service providers
- Collaborate with special education teachers and staff to coordinate services and student progress
- Ensure compliance with federal and state special education regulations
- Support K-12 students across all grade levels with individualized plans and accommodations
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in special education
- Experience working within K-12 special education settings
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and legal requirements
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
