Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) – Ortho/Neuro Trauma
Location: Kansas City, MO
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Rotating Weekends
Facility: Large Acute Care Hospital (585+ Beds)
Compensation: $35.65 – $47.64/hour (Based on Experience)
Shift Differentials: +$4.00/hour (Nights & Weekends)
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Med-Surg Registered Nurse ready to step into a leadership role within a fast-paced, Level I Trauma environment. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a critical role in overseeing unit operations during the night shift, ensuring high-quality patient care, efficient workflow, and strong team support.
Key Responsibilities
- Shift Coordination: Oversee patient flow, including admissions, discharges, and transfers to maintain efficient unit operations
- Leadership & Mentorship: Act as a clinical resource, support staff development, assist with training, and contribute to performance management
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to clinical standards, hospital policies, and quality improvement initiatives
- Operational Support: Assist with staffing, scheduling, productivity management, and supply oversight
- Patient Advocacy: Promote a patient-centered approach and manage service recovery when needed
Qualifications
- Experience:
- Strong recent acute care Med-Surg RN experience required
- Prior Charge Nurse experience preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med-Surg RN experience required (recent experience must be current)
- Education: BSN preferred; Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
- Licensure: Active RN license (state or compact)
- Certifications: BLS & ACLS required (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
