Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; ability to obtain MSDE certification with special education endorsement (required), vision endorsement (preferred)
  • Deep understanding of special education principles, IEP development, and effective teaching techniques
  • Experience supporting students with autism and complex behavioral needs preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction to visually impaired students (K-12) with multiple disabilities
  • Develop and write IEPs, setting meaningful goals and monitoring progress
  • Apply evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis strategies for both skill acquisition and behavior management
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating educational environment
