Job Title: Material Handler

Location: Loveland, CO

Type of Role: Contract to hire

Pay Range: $19-$22/hr

Shift: 7am-3:30pm M-F


POSITION OVERVIEW:

Our client is a leader in power distribution equipment and services supporting critical electrical infrastructure. We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join the Materials Department in Loveland, CO. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the right inventory is available in the right place at the right time to support production operations. The Material Handler will work under the direction of the Materials Supervisor and contribute directly to our client’s mission of delivering high-quality products through safe, efficient, and accurate material flow.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Conduct material transactions according to production schedules and Epicor (ERP) signals
  • Read, comprehend, and execute processes and procedures according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Pull, issue, and transfer parts within Epicor (ERP)
  • Read and understand job travelers and sales orders
  • Perform cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Clean, restock, and organize warehouse and materials areas
  • Learn to operate and become certified on various forklift types
  • Safely operate material handling equipment and visually inspect purchased parts
  • Support inventory accuracy and timely material availability for production
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read instructions, safely operate equipment, and visually inspect parts
  • Strong attention to accuracy and timeliness in completing work assignments
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and coordination skills
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend plant directives written in English
  • Ability to perform frequently lifting, standing, bending, and reaching
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test
  • Willingness to adhere to all PPE requirements (eye, hand, foot, and hearing protection)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills with accurate data entry experience
  • Ability to perform simple math to interpret process sheets, SOP manuals, tally sheets, and track materials and scrap
  • Prior warehouse, materials, or manufacturing support experience preferred
