A Registered Nurse with experience in Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care is needed for a contract opportunity in Honokaa, HI. This role is based at a skilled nursing and hospital facility and requires a dedicated professional capable of delivering comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population in a long-term care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments and administer treatments and medications.
- Monitor patient condition and communicate relevant information to MDs or Nurse Practitioners.
- Manage admissions and discharges smoothly, ensuring accurate patient documentation.
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Deliver specialized care such as gastrostomy tube management, urinary catheter care, nebulizer treatments, wound vac, and CPAP therapy.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current and active Registered Nurse license in the State of Hawaii or ability to obtain prior to assignment start.
- Experience in rehabilitation and long-term care nursing.
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
- Capability to work varied shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Flexibility to participate in overtime as required.
Schedule:
- Shift times rotate between 0730-1530, 1500-2330, and 2300-0730 hours.
- Assignment requires presence for an employee health appointment prior to start datearrival on the Thursday before is mandatory.
