Lõkahi Counseling Center offers a full range of counseling services to help improve the lives of local / military families. Our office is searching for a skilled marriage and family therapist to join our team. In this role, you will be tasked with providing evidence-based treatment for individual, Children, families, and couples. This means you will need to be capable of approaching behavioral health and other concerns from the perspective of the family rather than the perspective of the individual.

It will be your job to assess the most pressing issues facing a family and then create a road map for solving them. You may need to adjust the approach that you use based on the cultural background of each family that you work with. Those who apply for this position should have a strong background in family therapy and general psychiatry. Marriage and Family Therapist Responsibilities:

  • Meet with families and observe/note potential problems that arise
  • Educate your clients about how certain behaviors are impacting their lives
  • Propose solutions to the problems that these families are facing
  • Work with the families to help them make progress towards their desired outcomes in a methodical way
  • Help clients process grief, stabilize their homes, and improve schooling situations for their children, among other tasks

Job Types: part-time position with a minimum of 5 Clients a week.

Schedule:

  • Choose your own hours
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

*Multiple schedules available.

We are looking for a qualified Therapist to join our team and provide emotional and mental health support to our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing clients' needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing counseling services. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of psychological principles and be able to provide a safe and supportive environment for clients. We are looking for someone who is compassionate, patient, and able to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients.
  • Master’s degree in family therapy or a closely related field
  • All state-mandated licenses
  • Previous experience as a marriage or family therapist
  • Familiarity with the best practices of family therapy
  • Provide individual, family, group and couples therapy sessions virtually and in person
  • Evaluate client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and treatment plans.
  • Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with other healthcare providers.
  • Maintain professional boundaries with clients.
  • Keep up to date on advances in the field of mental health.
  • Supervise Interns
