This role leads the end-to-end payroll process; driving standardization, safeguarding controls, and ensuring timely, precise employee pay, while supporting brand partners through clear communication, issue resolution, and hands-on guidance.

As a trusted resource for our brands, the Payroll Manager plays a central role in enhancing employee experience and building confidence in our payroll operations. In close collaboration with Regional HR and Accounting team members, this role contributes to ongoing improvements in payroll workflows, HRIS (Paycom) optimization, training, and compliance initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with deep payroll expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and a commitment to integrity. They thrive in a fast-moving, relationship-driven environment and approach their work with both professionalism and empathy.

Essential Job Functions
E Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including collecting, calculating and inputting payroll data for all employees.
E Review current HRIS system payroll setup to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies while processing payroll.
E Administer and maintain payroll systems, ensure data integrity and implement system upgrades and enhancements.
E Collaborate with HR, accounting and other departments to gather and validate payroll information, such as new hires, terminations, promotions and salary changes.
E Monitor and resolve payroll discrepancies, investigating and resolving issues promptly and accurately.
E Work with Paycom to pull payroll reports, including tax filings, benefits deductions and other required reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
E Address employee inquiries and concerns related to payroll, providing exceptional customer service and support.
E Maintain confidentiality and data security standards for all payroll-related information.
E Stay updated on payroll regulations, tax laws and industry trends,

Competencies
This position requires strong time management skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Payroll law and compliance knowledge for multiple states. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ideal candidate would be self-motivated, proactive, problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and requests at once. Must be highly organized and close attention to detail.

Education and Experience
This position requires a minimum of three (3) years of previous Payroll experience. Requires a Highschool Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or University preferred. Relevant professional certification in payroll management, such as CPP. Must have a valid drivers’ license.

Travel
Required travel to brand partner locations based on business needs (25%).
