Position: Electrical Control Panel Assembler
Location: Eden Prairie, MN, 55344
Client: Leading Automotive Industry
Duration: 3 months temp to hire
Payrate: $21/hr (Weekly Pay)
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM with potential for occasional overtime
Position Summary
The Electrical Control Panel Assembler is responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing industrial electrical control panels in accordance with engineering drawings, electrical schematics, point-to-point wiring diagrams, and work instructions. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to accurately interpret technical documentation while producing high-quality assemblies that meet company and customer standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Assemble electrical control panels and subassemblies according to engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Mount and install electrical components, including:
◦ Circuit breakers
◦ Relays and contactors
◦ Terminal blocks
◦ Power supplies
◦ PLCs and other control devices
◦ Enclosures and DIN rail systems
• Perform point-to-point wiring using:
◦ Electrical schematics
◦ Wiring diagrams
◦ Bills of Materials (BOMs)
◦ Work instructions
• Cut, strip, crimp, label, route, and terminate wires according to specifications and quality standards.
• Ensure wiring is properly routed, secured, and organized within control panels.
• Inspect completed assemblies to verify accuracy and compliance with engineering documentation.
• Perform basic electrical testing, continuity checks, and visual inspections as required.
• Identify and report discrepancies, material shortages, or documentation issues to supervisors or engineering.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and established work procedures.
• Communicate effectively with engineering, production, and quality personnel to resolve questions and ensure production goals are met.
Required Qualifications
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical assembly equipment.
• Working knowledge of electrical components and standard wiring practices.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience assembling industrial electrical control panels.
• Familiarity with UL standards, NFPA 70, and general electrical codes.
• Experience with wire labeling systems and cable management best practices.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.

• Requires standing, bending, reaching, and lifting materials and components throughout the workday.
• May require occasional overtime based on production demands.
