What You’ll Do:
- Provide 1:1 or small group support to students based on teacher guidance
- Help students participate in classroom routines, transitions, and social activities
- Implement behavior support plans and follow IEPs as directed
- Assist with academic, behavioral, and social development needs
- Support mobility, supervision, and personal care, fostering independence
- Maintain an inclusive, safe, and respectful classroom atmosphere
Requirements for School Compliance:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Willingness to obtain a TB test (as required by the school)
- Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when needed
- Current clearances or willingness to secure them prior to starting
Preferred Experience:
- Prior exposure to school, special education, behavioral health, or childcare settings
- Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT techniques is valued, but not required
- Reliable, patient, and eager to collaborate with school teams
