Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist/HR Manager for a direct hire opportunity in San Leandro, CA. This role is ideal for a hands-on human resources professional who enjoys supporting employees, partnering with management, and managing a broad range of HR functions in a fast-paced travel, transportation, and tourism environment.
The HR Generalist/HR Manager will play a key role in employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, performance management, recruitment, and HR policy implementation. This is a strong opportunity for a well-rounded HR professional who values positive workplace culture, supportive leadership, teamwork, and the ability to make a direct impact on employee experience and organizational success.
The right candidate will bring sound judgment, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance strategic HR support with day-to-day operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage employee onboarding, orientation, employee records, and HR documentation while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
- Support employee relations by addressing concerns, resolving workplace conflicts, and promoting a positive and respectful work environment.
- Coordinate performance management processes, assist with performance improvement plans, and support managers with employee development needs.
- Administer employee benefits programs, respond to benefits-related questions, and support compensation administration activities.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, labor regulations, HR policies, reporting requirements, and internal procedures.
- Manage recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing coordination, and hiring support.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $70,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Location: San Leandro, CA.
