Skills REQ: Pediatrics: Abdominal pain, Asthma, Burns, Epiglottitis, Head injury, Hyperglycemia, Identifying and reporting abuse, Infections, Mental/behavioral health conditions, Poison ingestion, Respiratory infections, Seizures, Sickle cell crisis, Skin Disorders, Urinary tract infections. Psychiatric: Acute psychosis, Drug overdose, Managing violent behavior, Psychiatric Hold, Suicidal patient. IV therapy/Phlebotomy: Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Phlebotomy, Starting IVs. Respiratory: Chest tube insertion/management, CPAP/BiPAP, Interpretation of ABGs, Intubation, Ventilated patients. Medications: Continuous IV paralytics, Continuous IV sedation, Emergency Medications, IV vasopressors. Neurological: CVA. Work Settings: General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pedi, STEMI Certified Facility, Stroke Certified Facility. Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, Obtain 12 lead EKG. Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Triage. Orthopedics: Manage / apply splints.
