Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Production Supervisor for our client. This position is responsible for activities related to production, warehousing, shipping, and receiving. They will enforce QA and safety programs, drive production goals, and ensure that shipping and receiving outcomes and schedules are met.What’s a Typical Day Like?
- Comply with and enforce all Safety & Good Warehousing Practices as established and published
- Ensure understanding and compliance with all shipping & receiving processes
- Provide input for staffing forecasts to determine appropriate needs to reach desired results. Take appropriate action to modify strategies and/or correct deficiencies to ensure objectives are achieved
- Enforce our “clean as you go” policy
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Be dependable and flexible with work schedule/overtime as required
- Ability to manage a diverse workforce effectively and without bias
- Lead by example in demonstrating sense of urgency in pursuing quality and order assembly goals and objectives
- Use energy, expertise and appropriate communications to effectively influence people
- Maintain certification for fork lift operator with demonstrated proficiency in loading and unloading trucks
- Ensure that all employees are fully trained in accordance with company guidelines
- Set personal standards that exceed expectations of others and encourage retention and optimum productivity
- Ensure all quality assurance goals and objectives are met
- Represent overall appropriate professional image and promote company values and ideals
- Take appropriate action to reorganize the workplace to eliminate quality deficiencies and maximize order assembly
- Produce immediate results by focusing on practical strategies, positively communicate deadlines, and measure & monitor progress towards completion of activity
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
- High school diploma or GED required, associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse processes.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Bi-Lingual (Spanish) is a plus.
- Lean Six Sigma certification a plus.
- We will train this person on 1st shift until sometime in July.
- 2 years of experience managing a group of 20+ people.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
- Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
- Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Communication skills.
