Job Description
A distribution facility that manufactures automotive parts is seeking a long-term 2nd Shift Warehouse Associate to support shipping, receiving, and general warehouse operations. This role focuses on receiving and restocking inventory, order picking, packing, and loading/unloading materials using RF scanners and warehouse equipment while working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials, verify quantities, and restock inventory in designated locations.
- Handle overstock and dispatch inventory accurately and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks using appropriate equipment and safe lifting techniques.
- Pick orders for the automotive industry using rolling safety stairs and RF scanners to locate and retrieve items.
- Break down boxes and package items securely for shipment according to company standards.
- Operate order-picking equipment such as rolling stairs and pickers to access materials stored at various heights.
- Use RF scanners to scan, track, and confirm inventory movements and order fulfillment.
- Assist warehouse supervisors and team members as needed to complete daily tasks and meet operational goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including breaking down cardboard, disposing of packaging, and general cleaning duties.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of rolling safety ladders, equipment, and personal protective practices.
- Support shipping operations by preparing, labeling, and staging orders for outbound trucks.
Essential Skills
- Experience performing general labor in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Ability to use RF scanners for order picking, inventory tracking, and shipping tasks.
- Experience with order picking, packing, and packaging of products for shipment.
- Ability to safely load and unload trucks and handle materials throughout the warehouse.
- Capability to operate pallet jacks for moving pallets and materials within the facility.
- Comfort using rolling safety ladders and stairs, typically 5–7 steps, and willingness to occasionally use taller ladders when required.
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms for extended periods during the shift.
- Ability to occasionally climb or balance and to stoop, kneel, or squat as required by the job.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English to follow instructions, labels, and safety information.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and ability to stay self-motivated when working independently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a distribution or automotive parts warehouse is beneficial.
- Familiarity with order picking processes and inventory restocking in a high-volume environment.
- Experience using basic warehouse tools and equipment such as pallet jacks and RF scanners.
- Willingness to work 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM), Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime up to 2 hours daily and occasional Saturdays.
- Interest in learning forklift operation in the future, with training opportunities after becoming a direct employee.

Work Environment
This role is based in a busy distribution warehouse that manufactures and ships automotive parts. The position is on 2nd shift, running from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime up to 2 hours per day and occasional Saturday work as needed. The environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, with frequent use of RF scanners, pallet jacks, rolling safety ladders, and order-picking equipment. The noise level is usually high due to forklifts and other machinery operating throughout the facility. Team members regularly work on their feet, moving throughout the warehouse, climbing rolling stairs, and handling materials. The dress code requires a plain shirt with no logos for alcohol or similar products, jeans without holes, and closed-toe shoes, ensuring safe and practical attire for warehouse activities.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
