A leading K-12 educational institution in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking a dedicated Behavior Specialist to support students throughout the academic year. This contract position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student growth and development by implementing effective behavior intervention strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized behavior intervention plans for students with diverse needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to monitor progress and modify strategies as necessary.
- Provide training and guidance to school staff on behavior management techniques.
- Maintain accurate documentation and data related to behavior plans and student progress.
- Participate in team meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) sessions, to ensure prehensive support.
Desired Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Behavior Specialist or similar role in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of behavior assessment tools and intervention strategies appropriate for K-12 students.
- Excellent munication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work with a diverse student population and adapt approaches based on individual needs.
- Relevant certification or licensure in behavior analysis or special education is preferred.
