Job DescriptionGrain Farm Equipment Construction – Work Crew Assistant

Position Overview: Support a construction crew in assembling and installing grain‑handling equipment, including grain bins, bucket‑leg elevators, augers, and related systems. When not on construction projects, assist with general shop duties and farm work on the home farm.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in building and installing grain bins, bucket elevators, augers, and other grain‑handling structures

  • Perform general labor tasks as needed on construction sites

  • Support shop operations, including equipment preparation, cleanup, and basic maintenance

  • Help with farm duties on the home farm when construction work is not scheduled

  • Meet at the home farm and travel with the foreman to job sites

  • Work on projects that may require travel out of state

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional out‑of‑state travel for construction projects

  • All travel expenses fully covered by the company

  • No personal vehicle required for travel

Preferred Experience: Candidates with any of the following skills are strongly preferred and may qualify for higher pay:

  • Welding

  • Concrete pouring

  • Mechanical repair or maintenance
