Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Monroe is searching for a Social Services Director to join our team!!
TheClinicalSocialService Directorassumes responsibility for the functioning and communication within the social service department.TheClinicalSocial Worker participates as an integral professional member of a multi-disciplinary team,implementing andassisting inthe supervision of social serviceinterventions to patients.The Clinical Social Worker oversees theimplementationof interventionsperformedby other disciplines with the socialservicedepartment. Theseotherdisciplines,include the DischargePlanner,CaseManager, and Activity Therapist, alongwithother social service employees.The Clinical Social Worker works in collaboration with other clinical departments through consultationwith themedical staff, DON, and nursing staff.The Clinical SocialWorkerworks tofacilitatesresolution of concernsin the patient populationidentifiedand ensures thatservices,programingand patients social needs meet the highest quality of care. The Clinical Social Workerdemonstratesunderstandingand interpretation of facility policiesto ensure that policies areadhereto.Furthermore, the Clinical Social Workerdemonstratesa strongknowledgeableof a wide range of disorders; cognitive, emotional, and developmental,socialand behavioral.Additionalduties include,performscrisis intervention, special case conferences, family communication, andtakesa lead rolein thetreatment team process. Inaddition,maintainsperformance improvement activities within the department andparticipatesQM activities.TheClinicalSocial worker adheres to the highest ethical standardsregardingpatient care and rights. TheClinicalSocialWorkerfacilitatescommunicationtooutside agencies to ensure that these patient rights, care, and needs aremet.The Clinical Social Workerassistswith formulating the budgetary needs with the social service department.
PREFERREDKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OREXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:
MastersinSocial Workform an accredited school of social work
License:
Licensed through the State by the Regulatory Body that is vested tobestowlicensureto Social
Workers
Experience:
One year experience performing duties as aSocialWorker in aBehavioralHealth setting
