About the Role
Our client is seeking a Safety Specialist (EHS Specialist) to support field operations and surface facilities by ensuring compliance, mitigating risk, and reinforcing a strong, proactive safety culture.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being in the field, working closely with operations teams, and playing a hands-on role in safety execution. You will partner directly with supervisors, crews, and leadership to drive safety initiatives and ensure alignment with regulatory and company standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Support day-to-day EHS activities across field operations and surface facilities
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and industry-specific safety regulations
• Conduct field audits, safety inspections, and job hazard analyses (JHAs)
• Partner with operations teams to identify risks and implement practical safety solutions
• Assist in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
• Deliver and support safety training programs for employees and contractors
• Track safety metrics and maintain accurate documentation and reporting
• Reinforce a strong safety culture through consistent field presence and engagement
• Support contractor safety compliance and onboarding processes
• Assist with emergency response planning and readiness
What We’re Looking For
• 2–5+ years of EHS experience within oil & gas, energy, construction, or heavy industrial environments
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards and safety regulations
• Experience supporting field operations, surface facilities, or construction environments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence field personnel
• Hands-on, proactive approach with a strong attention to detail
• Experience with incident investigations and safety reporting
• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred (not required)
• Certifications such as OSHA 30, ASP, or CHST are a plus
