Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This role offers an opportunity to provide bilingual speech-language pathology services through teletherapy to K-12 students in the Virginia Beach area. The position is part-time and remote, focusing on delivering evaluations and therapy sessions via telepractice platforms. Fluency in Spanish and active Virginia SLP licensure are essential for supporting the diverse student population effectively.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech and language evaluations for school-aged children within the K-12 range.
- Delivering teletherapy sessions tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborating virtually with educational staff to monitor student progress.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines.
- Applying culturally responsive practices in delivering bilingual services.
Desired qualifications:
- Active Virginia licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Proficiency in Spanish to facilitate bilingual evaluations and therapy.
- Experience or interest in teletherapy service delivery.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a part-time, as-needed schedule.
This contract assignment is scheduled from ASAP through June 16, 2026, with a caseload of approximately two to three evaluations per week, accommodating flexibility in hours. The virtual setting supports a work-from-home environment, ideal for professionals seeking part-time commitments.
