Job Description\n
The Occupational Therapist plans, organizes, develops, administers, directs, and supervises OT treatment in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines. This role embraces the core values of quality care, respect for others, results orientation, teamwork, and resourcefulness in overcoming obstacles.
\n\nResponsibilities\n

- Assess patient’s level of functioning upon physician orders and implement appropriate treatment plans.
- Participate in the interdisciplinary team process and discharge planning for each patient.
- Complete all necessary documentation according to departmental policies and assist with new staff orientation.
- Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and assist in training OT and COTA students.
- Promote patient and employee safety, ensuring adherence to safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families, adapting to their level of understanding.
- Maintain flexibility in patient scheduling and cooperate in resolving conflicts.
- Document discharge plans and equipment training provided to patients and/or families.
- Display a customer service attitude toward patients, visitors, and staff members at all times.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and document quality assurance implementations.

\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n

- BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
- Must hold a valid, current State license.
- Minimum of two years of experience in occupational therapy.

This position offers a Day shift with a schedule of 5 days, 8-hour shifts.
