Schedule: Friday (2pm-10pm), Saturday (10am-10pm), Sunday (8am-8pm), Monday (10am-10pm)


Position Qualifications:

Minimum:

Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field and/or two years’ experience providing direct services. Must have previous experience as an on-call advocate.


Preferred:

Master’s degree in social services or related field and experience providing direct services. At least two years of supervisory experience in a social service program. Bilingual in Spanish and English.


· Provides medical accompaniment, crisis intervention and case management services to victims of family and sexual violence.

· Provide legal advocacy and accompaniment for clients to law enforcement and/or court proceedings.

· Exercise professional judgment in assisting clients in safety planning and setting goals. Make appropriate referrals according to needs.

· Serves as Supervisor on call.

· Must be resourceful and have the ability to make decisions in a timely efficient manner using the training and guidance provided.

· Assists with training of staff, volunteers and interns.

· Ensures program compliance with funding sources.

· Participate in collaborative partnerships and community organizations in an effort to identify and improve gaps in services for victims of family and sexual violence.

· Provide expertise to other MCWC staff regarding sexual assault issues, current law enforcement procedures, and handling of sexual assault cases.

· Evaluates and makes recommendations regarding advocacy operations and concerns.

· Communicate with clients and staff with a positive attitude and willingness to help.

· Develop working relationships internally and with external agencies.

· Assist clients with Crime Victims Compensation (CVC), Address Confidentiality, Victims Identification Notification Everyday (VINE), and Family Violence Options.

· Support outreach efforts to educate the community on family and sexual violence issues.

· Adheres to agency policies and procedures and ensures compliance with the approved standards for service delivery.

· Assist in the preparation of the monthly reports, quarterly reports, and annual reports.

· Participate in case discussions and attend staff meetings.

· Provides accurate information for required statistical reporting.

· Participate in the OAG Sexual Assault Training Program (SATP) and/or provide education on various topics including, but not limited to, sexual assault and crisis intervention.

· Actively participate in special observances and projects including, but not limited to, Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

· Assists with special projects or tasks as requested.

· Provide front desk duties in the office when needed.

· Any other duties as assigned.
