Position: Clinical Director

Reports To: Chief Medical Officer

Department: Clinical Services

Location: Copiague, NY

Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications - $125 - $165 per hour.

FlexStaff is seeking a visionary Clinical Director to lead our clients dedicated clinical services team at their innovative outpatient program in Copiague, NY. Beginning in January, we’re offering a unique temporary placement for an experienced prescriber familiar with methadone treatment at our Copiague outpatient program. This role is perfect for a dedicated professional looking to contribute expertise during a leave of absence, with potential for impactful collaboration


Qualifications:

  • A Physician, NP or MD licensed by the New York State Education Department, with current certification
  • Valid NY State driver’s license with a clean record
  • Background clearance including fingerprinting, criminal check, and OASAS approval
  • Extensive experience with Methadone


Responsibilities:

As Clinical Director, you will be at the forefront of delivering comprehensive, compassionate care to individuals battling severe mental illness and substance use disorders. You will oversee clinical operations, supervise team members, and ensure the highest standards of treatment and safety. Your leadership will drive innovative treatment plans, foster professional development, and uphold compliance with all regulations.

  • Provide overarching clinical oversight for treatment plans and staff service delivery
  • Conduct thorough medical assessments and prescribe appropriate treatments
  • Lead, mentor, and educate our multidisciplinary clinical team
  • Oversee medication management and psychiatric/medical procedures in collaboration with nursing staff
  • Engage actively in delivering personalized, integrated care plans that promote recovery and resilience
  • Participate in rotating 24/7 crisis response, ensuring safety and support at all hours
  • Uphold agency compliance, prevent healthcare fraud, and ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations
