We are looking for a Director of Sales to help take our business from $7M to $8.4M+ by bringing structure, predictability, and leadership to our sales organization.
Today, we have:
- strong product-market fit
- a solid reputation in the Denver market
- an existing sales team and estimator support
What we don’t yet have is:
- consistent sales execution
- reliable pipeline and forecasting
- a fully defined, scalable sales system
This role is an opportunity to step into a real business with momentum and install the discipline, process, and leadership required to scale it.
About Us
Lutek is a Denver-based manufacturer of custom window coverings, including shades, draperies, and outdoor shading systems.
We fabricate products in our 30,000 sq. ft. facility in Arvada and serve:
- commercial general contractors
- direct commercial customers
- residential projects
Our work spans office buildings, hospitality, healthcare, education, and high-end residential environments.
What You’re Walking Into
- ~$7M revenue business with a clear path to growth
- 3 sales reps + 2 estimators
- Active project pipeline, but inconsistent data and tracking
- CRM (HubSpot) in need of discipline and structure (currently being addressed)
- Strong operational team that is ready for better alignment with sales
- Leadership team aligned on the need for a dedicated sales leader
What Success Looks Like (First 6–12 Months)
- Establish a clear, repeatable sales process across the team
- Improve forecast accuracy to within ±5%
- Bring discipline and visibility to pipeline management
- Drive consistent sales activity and deal progression
- Strengthen alignment between sales and operations
- Deliver measurable progress toward the $8.4M revenue target
Role Scope & Authority
- Full ownership of the sales function and revenue responsibility
- Authority to define:
- sales process
- pipeline stages
- forecasting cadence
- Reports to the COO
- Serves as a key member of the executive leadership team
- Operational support for CRM and reporting improvements
What You'll Be Responsible For
Revenue Leadership
- Lead the company’s sales organization to achieve annual revenue growth targets
- Manage performance across multiple sales channels including commercial projects and residential shading systems
- Monitor and improve sales pipeline health and deal progression
Forecasting & Pipeline Management
- Implement a disciplined forecasting methodology
- Manage quarterly and annual revenue forecasts within ±5% accuracy
- Ensure CRM pipeline integrity and reporting reliability
Sales Process Development
- Implement a scalable sales process across the organization
- Establish consistent deal qualification and pipeline stage definitions
- Improve sales-to-operations handoff processes to ensure project clarity and execution
Sales Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a team of sales representatives and estimators
- Conduct regular deal coaching and pipeline reviews
- Build structured professional development plans for each team member
Channel Strategy
- Develop and manage balanced growth across priority sales channels
- Expand partnerships with builders, architects, and other strategic industry partners
- Identify opportunities for market expansion and new revenue sources
Culture & Accountability
- Build a transparent and accountable sales culture
- Encourage collaboration between sales, operations, and leadership
- Reinforce high standards for professionalism, communication, and performance
What We’re Looking For
- 3-5 years of sales and team leadership experience
- Experience implementing:
- sales process
- CRM discipline
- forecasting systems
- Strong coaching and team development capability
- Ability to balance strategy and hands-on execution
Compensation & Benefits
- $170k-210k On-Target Earnings (Base + Incentive)
