Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join a growing property management company on a contract basis. Based in Fresno, California, this part-time role will focus on maintaining financial records and ensuring the accuracy of daily accounting operations. Responsibilities:
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including posting rental income and managing payment transactions.
• Maintain accurate financial ledgers, reconcile accounts, and ensure proper general ledger coding.
• Prepare and execute owner payouts in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitor financial transactions and ensure all data is entered correctly into property management software (Buildium).
• Assist with month-end closing procedures and provide support for financial reporting as required.
• Collaborate with property management staff and leadership to organize and maintain financial records.
• Identify areas for improvement in accounting processes and recommend solutions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies during financial operations.• Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
• Familiarity with property management operations and financial practices is preferred.
• Proficiency in Buildium or comparable property management software.
• Solid knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functionalities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while managing part-time hours effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members.
• Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software is a plus.
