Job Title: Senior Account Manager – Chassis Sales
Location: Plymouth, MI (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote; flexibility required)
Salary: Up to $150,000
Job Type: Direct Hire
About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading global Tier 1 automotive supplier, is seeking a Senior Account Manager – Chassis Sales to support and grow business with major OEM customers. This role focuses on chassis systems including braking and steering, and plays a key role in driving new business and managing existing customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with OEM customers and internal stakeholders
- Drive growth within the chassis product portfolio, including braking and steering systems
- Lead new business acquisition efforts, including RFQs and quote development
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, claims, and commercial terms
- Manage all commercial aspects of current programs with assigned customers
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and program management teams
- Develop customer strategies to position the company for long-term success
- Support pricing analysis, cost breakdowns, and customer documentation
- Interface regularly with purchasing and engineering teams at OEMs
- Coordinate with global teams and support international communication as needed
- Mentor junior team members and support overall team development
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of Account Management experience in automotive (OEM or Tier 1)
- Strong experience with chassis systems (REQUIRED)
- Direct experience with both braking and steering systems (REQUIRED)
- Proven track record in new business development and commercial negotiations
- Experience working with OEM customers (GM, Ford, or Stellantis strongly preferred)
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with OEM portals and standard business tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing relationships with North American OEMs
- Experience working in a global organization
- Korean or Spanish language skills (a plus)
Additional Details
- Hybrid schedule with flexibility based on business needs (some weeks may require full onsite presence)
- Must be comfortable with early morning or late evening meetings to support global teams
- Occasional domestic and international travel required
