Branch Banking Manager

Job Duties:

The Branch Banking Manager administers the operations of the Bank's entire branch office system. Responsible for the overall operation functions in accordance with established systems and procedures, as well as establishing and overseeing new initiatives.

  • Encourages referrals for deposits and loans
  • Oversees the Supply Budget for the operating budget
  • Exercises the usual authority of a manager concerning performance improvement plans, reviews, and promotion recommendations.
  • Coaches, develops, and inspires staff to maximize their potential
  • Administers Branch functions, ensuring compliance with the Bank’s policies, legal and government rules and regulations by establishing, monitoring, and maintaining policies and procedures.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements business plans that support the Bank’s long-term objectives and vision
  • Resolves operational problems
  • Responsible for the cash dispenser balancing, training, and overall operations
  • Promotes and enhances the corporate culture and fosters the development and implementation of the Bank’s vision, policies, and guidelines
  • Develops and maintains relationships with industry groups and organizations
  • Prepares tracking reports
  • Handles multiple audits required for BSA/Audit
  • Audits front-line windows and vault, including bait money
  • Responsible for the balancing and operations of a cash machine
  • Manages the volume of cash held in all Branch Banker’s windows, vault, and lockers
  • Responsible for vault training and procedures for each branch to follow
  • Ensures all UBs adhere to the Over and Short Policy
  • Helps all branches attain internal performance objectives for branch office consumer/business volume deposits and quality audit reports
  • Train and track all branch staff on exceptions that occur during an audit to ensure a strong understanding of the regulation/compliance
  • Schedules validations for BSA and Audit reports to clear continued exceptions
  • Trains all Universal Bankers at the line and in New Accounts, plus any other expected duties
  • Volunteers at FNB-sponsored events
  • Keeps office clean and neat
  • Other duties as assigned

Characteristics/Requirements:

  • On time and positive attitude with a professional appearance
  • Five to Seven years of banking experience in a managerial position
  • Good human resources skills
  • Teamwork mentality and creates an exceptional customer experience with solid communication skills
  • Organized and efficient with solid time management skills
  • Proficient computer skills and changing technology
  • Solid knowledge of the industry’s processes and procedures
  • Good decision making and sensitivity to handling confidential information
