Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position is available at a Washington DC charter school serving PreK through 8th grade students. The role begins at the end of August and extends throughout the entire school year, providing consistent support within a dynamic educational setting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders for students in grades PreK-8
  • Collaborating with teachers and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Providing direct therapy services and progress monitoring aligned with student needs
  • Maintaining clear documentation and complying with school and district policies
  • Participating in team meetings and professional development activities

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid DC Speech Therapy license
  • Current ASHA CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) in Speech-Language Pathology
  • DC Educator Certification is required
  • Experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Location: Washington Navy Yard, Washington, DC
