Travel Sterile Processing Technician – Poughkeepsie, NY
Duration: 13 weeks

Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Position Overview:
HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician for a 13-week travel assignment in Poughkeepsie, NY. This role plays a critical part in ensuring safe and efficient surgical services by preparing and maintaining sterile instruments and equipment for hospital use.
Responsibilities:

Clean, decontaminate, inspect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.

Assemble instrument trays and ensure proper storage for surgical and procedural use.

Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, performing routine quality checks.

Adhere to infection control standards and hospital policies.

Collaborate with OR and Central Supply staff to ensure timely delivery of sterile items.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 1–2 years of sterile processing experience in a hospital setting.

Certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or equivalent preferred.

Knowledge of sterilization techniques, instrumentation, and infection prevention practices.
Certifications Required:

BLS (American Heart Association) preferred

About the Role:
- Provide therapy in both outpatient and limited inpatient settings
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehab professionals to deliver high-quality, individualized care
- Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and track progress toward patient goals
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Washington state licensure as an SLP
- Experience working with pediatric populations is required
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
