A leading academic medical center in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist for a contract opportunity supporting a high-acuity Level 1 Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center. Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate advanced imaging equipment, specifically the Siemens Hybrid Artis Pheno Fluoroscopy unit, with proficiencyno additional training provided.
  • Participate actively in interventional radiology procedures, including scrubbing in, circulating, and assisting in the OR.
  • Support angiography, aneurysm repairs, peripheral vascular interventions, and other complex IR procedures.
  • Manage room setup, troubleshoot minor equipment issues, and ensure all supplies are available.
  • Collaborate with neuro and body specialists, contributing to stroke, cancer, and vascular patient care.
  • Participate in weekend rotation call and weekday on-call duties as required.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year post-graduation experience specifically as an IR technologist, with strong vascular/interventional background.
  • Certified by ARRT(R), preferably with Vascular Interventional (VI) or Cardiovascular (CV) credentials, or RCIS with relevant vascular experience.
  • Current BLS certification required; ACLS or NIH Stroke Scale certification beneficial.
  • Demonstrated expertise using Siemens imaging platforms and OR procedures.

Schedule & Hours:

  • Flexible shift options (five 8-hour or four 10-hour shifts), with weekend rotation every fourth weekend.
  • Call schedule includes two days per week and weekend coverage.
