This position is works with the Operations and Supply Chain, reconciles sub-ledger activity to general ledger account balances and prepares financial statements, cash flow and other analysis. Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement changes in financial position/budget variance analysis, assist with the design of budgets for review by management, maintain fixed assets and inventory schedules. Oversees accounts payables and cash inflows.
The Senior Accountant must be a highly motivated and ambitious individual who is active, assertive, and curious with a continuous improvement mindset and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They must be team-oriented with exemplary verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Full month-end close for three operating entities.
- Prepare the financial reporting package for management discussion and analysis.
- Manage and report on working capital, inventory management, and variance analysis.
- AP, AR, inventory, repair & maintenance, capex, labor and cost analysis. The responsibility will be rotated among the Senior Accountants.
- Assist with board presentation deck, 3rd party tax information and S&U tax compliance.
- As necessary analysis and projects.

- Advanced Excel skills (vlookups, index match, pivot tables are utilized daily).

Requirements:
Education and/or Experience
- Accounting degree preferred.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Additional consideration given to other evidence of on-going professional development.
Safety/Essential Functions
- Must be able to climb and descend stairs.
- Must be capable of working in an environment where chemical odors may exist at permissible threshold limits of exposure.
- Must be able to evacuate the plant, reporting to appropriate assigned muster point, in the event of an emergency or drill.
- Must be able to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time.
