Job Title: Non-CDL Flatbed Delivery Driver (Temp-to-Hire)
Location: Akron, Ohio
Pay: Starting at $20/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Job Overview:
An underground utility products company in Akron is urgently seeking an experienced Non-CDL Flatbed Delivery Driver. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering steady hours and the chance to join a growing team. The ideal candidate will have prior flatbed driving experience and be comfortable working both on the road and in the yard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a non-CDL flatbed truck to deliver underground utility materials to job sites and customer locations
- Load materials onto the truck using a tow motor (forklift)
- Properly secure and strap loads to ensure safe transport
- Safely unload materials at delivery locations
- Spend significant time in the yard operating a tow motor for loading and organizing materials
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Maintain a clean and professional driving record
Qualifications:
- Previous flatbed truck driving experience required
- Experience operating a tow motor (forklift) preferred
- Clean driving record and background required
- Ability to lift, secure, and handle heavy materials
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Dependable and able to work independently
