Job Title: Inside Sales Representative – Wholesale Consumer Goods

Position Summary
We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to support and expand our wholesale consumer goods business. This role is responsible for managing relationships with retailers, distributors, e-commerce sellers, and other wholesale accounts while driving sales growth across our product portfolio. The successful candidate will proactively identify sales opportunities, manage customer accounts, process orders, and deliver exceptional service to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of wholesale accounts, including retailers, distributors, independent stores, and online resellers.
- Develop new business opportunities through outbound calls, emails, referrals, and lead follow-up.
- Build strong customer relationships by understanding customer needs, product preferences, and purchasing patterns.
- Present product lines, promotions, seasonal programs, and new product launches to customers.
- Prepare quotes, pricing proposals, and sales presentations.
- Process and monitor customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment.
- Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and customer service teams to resolve order, inventory, and delivery issues.
- Track inventory availability and communicate stock levels, backorders, and replenishment timelines to customers.
- Meet or exceed monthly sales, revenue, and customer acquisition targets.
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, and pipeline updates in CRM systems.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities.
- Support trade shows, promotional events, and customer outreach campaigns as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of inside sales, wholesale sales, account management, or customer service experience.
- Experience selling consumer goods, packaged goods, household products, personal care products, or similar categories is highly preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze sales data and identify opportunities for account growth.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
Preferred Experience
- Wholesale distribution or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry experience.
- Experience working with retail buyers, distributors, and e-commerce accounts.
- Familiarity with inventory management, order processing, and wholesale pricing structures.
- Experience using ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or similar platforms.

Salary Range (U.S.): $50,000–$65,000 base salary plus commission, depending on experience and industry.
